Senior Hurling
Well done to our senior hurlers who qualified for the Mid Semi final with a good victory over Boherlahan Dualla on Friday night last by 3-21 to 0-14. They return to county league action this Friday night against Loughmore Castleiney in Castleiney. (See fixtures for details) Training continues at the usual time.
Junior Hurling
Well done to our Junior A team who defeated Moyne Templetuohy by 0-17 to 0-13 in tough conditions that would be more suited to winter but despite this both teams served up an entertaining contest. Later Sunday our Junior B team were narrowly defeated by Holycross Ballycahill by 4-8 to 3-6. Training continues for both teams in the coming week.
Intermediate Hurling
Our Intermediates are due to play this coming weekend. See mid fixtures for details.
Under 14 County final victory
Pride of place goes to our under 14 football team after they captured the county under 14 A football final for the very first time in the club’s history by defeating the South champions Moyle Rovers by 1-7 to 0-7. This result was due to an unbelievable team performance from the biggest to the smallest player on the team. The boys showed great heart and determination as they defended heroically as Moyle rovers went in search of an equalising score but the backs held firm and history was made in Dundrum as Michael Connors lifted the Under 14 county cup for the first time in the club’s history. Congrats to all the management team for all their hard work. The victorious panel then returned to the Ragg and were fed by Donal Younge. We thank him for the food and refreshments. Panel: Paul Bergin, Robert Kennedy, Jamie Bergin, Conor O Meara, Kevin Hassett, Emmett Maloney, Paudric Campion, Thomas Nolan, Ciaran Thorpe, Eoin Collins, Michael Connors, Paul Hennessey, Aidan O Meara, Stevie Nolan, Colm Kinane, Michael Clohessy, Andy Purcell, Mark O Brien, Shane Ryan, Ben Aherne, Liam Dempsey, Gary Carey, Glenn Stewart.
The boys will now focus on the Feile which begins the weekend of the 24th June, when they travel to Castlegar, our host club. Their first game will be on Friday 24th against Castlegar at 3 o’clock in their sports grounds. We urge everyone to support the lads as it is a huge honour for the club to compete in the Feile na nGael competition.
Under 12
The 12s kick off their hurling campaign on Saturday 18th June against Moycarkey in Drom at 11 am.

The juvenile club shall hold a church gate collection before all masses next weekend in Drom and the Ragg on Saturday and Sunday. The proceeds shall go towards the Feile trip to Galway which shall take place on Friday 24th June. We would ask all patrons to support this worthy cause and support the lads as they go in search of another title this year.
