Senior
Well done to our seniors who qualified for the county Semi final by defeating Toomevara in a great team display in Semple Stadium on Sunday last. They have now been drawn against Mullinahone in the County semi final next Sunday in Semple Stadium at 2pm. We urge all supporters to come and support the team.
Junior A
Hard luck to our Junior A’s who put in a brave performance against a strong Thurles Sarsfields team but were defeated in the end by 4 points in Templemore on Sunday last. The club would like to thank Kevin Bourke, Matt McGrath and Seamus Fahey for their time and dedication during the year. Special thanks also to Helen and Carina for providing first aid for the team throughout the year.
Junior B Mid Semi final
Our junior B team continue their preparation for this coming weekend when they play neighbours Killea in the Mid Junior B final. The Mid final takes place at 4.30pm in Templemore on Saturday next. We urge all supporters to come and support the team as they bid to bring back silverware to the club.
Junior Football
Our junior footballers are due to play the mid final against Loughmore Castleiney in the coming week. Training shall continue at times stated on club text. The mid final takes place on Wednesday 5th October at 7pm in Templetuohy.
Minor Hurling final
Congrats to our minor team who defeated Moyne Templetuohy in the Mid minor B hurling final in Templemore on Saturday afternoon. A fantastic team display ensured the win and saw the lads progress to the county stages of the championship. Captain Shane Hassett collected the trophy on behalf of the team. Well done to Michael Purcell who was named man of the match Towards the end of the game there was 2 serious injuries to Padraig Stapleton of Drom-Inch and Eoin Ryan of Moyne Templetuohy, we would like to wish both players a speedy recovery from their injuries.
Minor Football
Our minors now turn their attention to the County Semi final of the football as they face Ballyporeen in Clonoulty on Thursday 6th October.
Under 12’s
Hard luck to the under 12s who lost the shield final to Durlas Og on Saturday morning. That concludes the under 12 campaign for this year. They can be very proud of their achievements, winning the Group 2 football mid final and for competing at a very high standard Group 1 in the hurling. Thanks to Matthew McGrath, Seamie Callanan, Damien Young and John Collins for the time and mentoring they have given the lads all year
Under 8’s
Hard luck to the under 8s who had to hand over the Meaghar cup on Saturday. Well done to Upperchurch who deservedly won for the first time. Drom however tried their best and we’re very proud of them all. Thanks to Declan Fitzpatrick, Francis McAllister and Eddie Costello who have put in so much time and effort with the u8s all year. Also to Rhona Carroll and her team for looking after our under 6s.
