Senior Hurling

Our senior hurlers qualified for the county league Premier division final with a convincing 1-23 to 4-9 victory over Toomevara in Templemore on Saturday evening last. Attention now turns to the Mid Senior hurling final which takes place on Sunday 24th July in Templetuohy. This year there is a ticket system in place for the final and tickets can be got through the club. Prices are as follows Adult €10, OAP/Students €5. However of the €10 ticket fee, the mid board are donating €2 to the club so by pre-booking a ticket you will be helping to raise much needed funds for the club. Anyone who wishes to purchase a ticket must contact Pat Egan.

Intermediate Hurling

Our Intermediate hurlers got their campaign back on track with a fantastic team display to defeat Clonakenny 2-15 to 1-15. Training continues this week.

Bon Voyage

This week sees a fantastic club man Conor Ryan leave for foreign shores as a result of the current economic climate due to a shortage of work. Conor is a fantastic stalwart of the club and will leave a huge void in the club as a result of his emigration. Conor is one of the main reasons that the club Lotto is a huge success and Conor was also field officer in the Ragg and done a fantastic job in keeping order. It was a great sight to see so many in Ryan’s Pub in Drom on Friday night last as the GAA club and Lotto committee made presentations to Conor. We hope that one day times may change and Conor will return to take up a role in the club again. For now we wish him the very best of luck with his travels and work commitments.

Munster Final

Congrats to Seamus Callanan and James Woodlock who were part of the Tipperary Panel that comprehensively defeated Waterford in the Munster final on Sunday.
