Mid Senior Champions 2006

Drom & Inch today won the Mid Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship after a six point win over Boherlahan in Holycross.

It is the third time for Drom & Inch to win this title, with previous wins in 1974 and 1984.

Junior's year comes to an end

The Drom & Inch Junior A team played their final game of the year this evening against a Holycross side fancied for the Mid Title.

Following last years success, the junior A & B teams stepped up to Intermediate and Junior A. The result was our third team taking on the first and second teams from other clubs. In what was a year of transition, with many players hanging up the boots and a number of younger players coming up the line, they failed to register a win in the championship, but were never more than a few scores off the pace.

Big weekend Ahead

Next weekend will be the see the biggest game of the year yet for the club when the line out against Boherlahan in Holycross on Sunday in the Mid Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship.

The club will be going for its third ever mid final, and its first since 1984, all of 22 years ago. It is just one year since their last appearance in a mid final, when they lost to Thurles Sarsfields in a replay.

The whole of the club will be hoping the experiance gained from last year will stand to them and they will be able to go one step further.
