Club Notes - 19th July 05
The Mid senior hurling final between Thurles Sarsfields and Drom-Inch has being fixed for Sunday 7th of August in Holycross a Training fund is being opened for the Senior Hurling Team in preparation for the Mid Final anyone who wishes to support the fund can give their donation to any club officer. The club still has some official merchandise on sale including Club replica jerseys, shorts and T-Shirts we would encourage supporters to wear your club colours for the Mid Final, any inquires contact Edward Kinane PRO.

The Junior A’s defeated JK Brackens in Templemore last Friday to ensure a place in the playoff for a Mid Semi Final place full match report available on www.drominch.com. The Junior B’s take on Rahealty Kickhams in Kickham Park at 7.30pm on Saturday.

Congratulations to Paul Collins who is a member of the Tipperary U-21 panel that defeated Limerick last weekend. Also congratulations to Frank McGrath who has been selected on the AIB Bank Hurling panel which will tour Australia in October this year. AIB will be playing in a GAA tournament which will also involve teams from Bank of Ireland and the Army

Juveniles

The Minors take on Sarsfields in the Outside Field at 7.30pm on Wednesday the 27th. The U16 are due to play Sarsfields on Monday venue and time to be fixed. The U14’s were defeated by Upperchurch 3-6 to 6 points in their most match. U12’s check Mid board fixtures.
U10/U8 Training in the Ragg at 10.30am on Saturday.

Club Notes - 12th July 2005

The Junior B’s fought back well to draw with Killea last Friday to maintain their unbeaten run; we have been giving a walk over by Clonakenny so Thursdays match is off. The Junior A’s will play JK Brackens in Templemore this Friday at 7.30pm in a game they must win to force a playoff.
The membership for the County Draw has increased from last year, the club would like to thank Ambrose Purcell and his promoters for their sterling work, also congratulations to Austin Broderick who won Eur 1,000 in last Months Draw.


Juveniles

The Minors take on Moycarkey Borris in Ragg 7.30pm this Tuesday.
The Juvenile club would like to thank Boherlahan Juvenile club for U8 and U10 challenge matches which were played last Saturday. Congratulations to Michael Everard and David Collins who were members of The Mid-Tipp team who won The Peadar Cummins Tournament last Saturday.
U14 matches on Friday and Monday, see Mid fixtures for details. The U12 team defeated JK brackens and are now in quarter final. The winning team that defeated JK brackens were as follows; James Holland, Brian Hennessey, Joe Thorpe, Michael Champion, Joey Maher, Padraig Stapleton, James Butler, Oisin Jordan, Brian Everard, Tommy O’Halloran, Shane Hassett, Thomas Ryan, Damien Larkin, Jamie Moloney,and Ciaran Ryan, the subs were Robert Ryan, Richie Kennedy, and Rory Kinnane.

Club Notes - 5th July 2005
Next Monday the monthly committee meeting will take place in the clubhouse at 9pm. The U-21’s had an impressive 2-14 to 0-12 point victory over Moycarkey in the 1st round of the championship; full match report is available on www.drominch.com.
The Junior B’s have made it 3 wins out of 3 as they easily saw off the challenge of Knock 3-15 to 0-7 points, a tougher test can be expected on
Saturday against Killea in Templemore at 7.30pm.

Juveniles

The Juvenile Club would like to thank all the parents who made last Saturdays Table quiz such a success. Funds raised will go towards the purchase of 2 Sets of Jerseys. The club would also like to thanks those who sponsored prizes.
Best of Luck to Michael Everard and David Collins who are on the Mid panel for the Peadar Cummins Tournament on Saturday.

Club Notes - 28th June 2005
All those who have entered the County Draw are requested to pay their Promoter or Ambrose Purcell otherwise their names will be excluded from the Draw competly.
In the first round off our defence of the Cahill Cup we had a disappointing result against Holycross Ballycahill losing 1-12 to 0-13pts ending our participation in a competition which we won for the first time last year.
The U-21’s make their championship debut against Moycarkey Borris in Holycross at 7.30pm on Saturday.
The Junior A’s survived the setback of conceding 2 soft goals to Loughmore Castleiney to point a injury time free to draw the game 2-10 to 0-16, but now must win their remaining games to be sure of a place in the playoffs. The Junior B’s continued their winning ways in Killea on Monday night as they impressively out scored J.K Brackens 2-4 to 1-18 to top their group. Their next outing will be against Knock on Monday in Clonmore at 7.30pm.
The Juvenile Club would sincerely thank Pat Claffey of Claffey Butchers Templemore for his generous sponsorship of a set of Jerseys for the Juvenile club we would wish for club members to show their appreciation.

U-12 v Durlas Og Thursday at 7.30pm. in the Ragg. Last week we played Boherlahan after a slow start we recovered well but lost out 1-8 to 2-1 to a stronger team on the day.
U-8 & U10 will take on Boherlahan this Saturday morning in Ragg at 10.30am.

Club Notes - 21st June 2005
Munster final tickets will be issued this Thursday: at 8pm in the Clubhouse, it will also be closing date for Club Membership which can also be paid on the night to any Club official.

The Junior A saw a reversal of recent fortunes when they lost by 4 points 2-18 to 1-17 against a hungrier Holycross Ballycahill team. They now play Loughmore this Friday in Castleiney at 7.45pm in a must win game. The Junior B’s fared better and after a nervous start finally overwhelmed Holycross Ballycahill 3-18 to 1-07 they will play JK Brackens this Monday at 7.45pm in Killea.

The Juvenile Club will hold a Fundraising Table Quiz on Friday the 1st of July in the Raparee pub at 10pm support from parents and club members would be gratefully appreciated Tickets for Table of 4 will be Eur20. All players are requested to pay their Eur10 for membership along with completed form to their Team manager.

The Minors will play their opening game in defence of their Mid Title on Thursday the 30th of June against JK Brackens in Templemore at 7.30pm.
U-14’s play their 1st round of the hurling championship on Monday the 4th of July check next weeks fixtures for details.

U-12 hurlers play Boherlahan this Thursday in Boherlahan at 7.30pm
U-10’s & U-8’s had 2 very usefully challenge matches with JK Brackens and the Camogie Teams, and this Saturday will take on Holycross at 10.30am in the Ragg

Club Notes - 14th June 05
The closing date for Club Membership is Saturday the 19th of June. Players are not insured if there membership is unpaid and non players will not be entitled to match tickets or free club Text Alerts. Membership can be paid to Liam McLoughlin, Packie Boyle, Edward Kinane or any club official.
The Seniors made history last Saturday in Drombane when despite been 7pts down at half they produced a spectacular comeback in the second half to book a place in the Mid Senior Hurling Final for the first time in 21years. The Mid Final has been fixed for August so in the mean time we have the Cahill Cup to defend, and on Wed 22nd we take on Holycross at 7.45pm in Ragg. The Junior B’s take play the first round of their Championship this Sunday at 6.15pm in Holycross.

U-14’s defeated Clonakenny 1-6 to 1-3 check Mid Board Fixtures for next outing. U-12 lost out to a stronger Moycarkey team in the football Mid Final we wish them the best of luck in the County Semi Final.
U-10 & U-8 challenge match versus Holycross this Saturday at 10.30am in the Ragg. The Juvenile club would like to thank Loughmore and Holycross for recent challenge matches.
All Juveniles are asked to return their membership form along with Eur10 to their team manager as closing date for membership is fast approaching.
Congratulations to club members who defeated the “Borris All Stars” in the Daily Star Golf Competition and are now through the All Ireland Quarter Finals.

Congratulations to the Junior A who put in an accomplished and disciplined performance to sweep past Holycross 4-17 to 2-11 in the Junior League Final replay, the result bodes well as we meet Holycross again on the Wednesday the 15th of June in the Ragg at 7.45pm in the first round of the Junior Championship.

Club Notes 31st May 2005
This Thursday in the Ragg Clubhouse at 9pm Professor Liam McCarthy will chair a discussion on sudden and tragic death in today’s society. The discussion is open to all members of the public and follows last week’s successful meeting.
Our Senior Game with J.K Brackens is fixed for Saturday the 11th in Drombane. at 7pm.
The club wishes best of luck to Eammon Buckley and Damian Young the clubs representatives on the Tipperary Senior Hurling Panel. Stand Tickets for Sunday’s clash with Clare will be given out in the Club dressing rooms at 8pm Sharp on Thursday. The next round of County Draw takes place this Friday so promoters are asked to return the Draw money to Ambrose Purcell.
The Junior A League Final replay against Holycross takes place this Friday at 7pm in Holycross following last Sundays exciting match which ended in a draw. The last 7 encounters between these 2 teams have seen 5 draws and 2 narrow wins for Drom so another close encounter is guaranteed.



All Juveniles are asked to return their membership form along with Eur10 to their team manager’s a.s.a.p.

Congratulations to U17 girls who won County Fleadh honors at set dancing and will now represent Tipperary in The Munster Fleadh which takes place in Macroom; Cork in July.



U14 Footballers take on Clonakenny at 5pm in the Ragg this Friday.

U8's and U10's are to meet in Castleiney at 10.30am on Saturday morning for a Challenge Match V's Loughmore.

The U12’s play their Mid Final next Tuesday in Templetuohy at 7pm V Moycarkey

Club Notes - 24th May 2005
Due to the tragic death of Matty Ryan Ballinlonty Drom all club activities were suspended last week as a mark of respect to a player who had been the backbone of Drom’s underage success at Minor and U-21 level in recent years as well as a key member of the Junior and Senior teams. The club wishes to offer its sympathy to the family and friends of the bereaved.

This Thursday the Junior A’s take on Boherlahan Dualla in the Ragg at 7.30 a win see a replay of last years Junior A League Final as we will take on Holycross in Littleton at 7.30pm.

Juvenile Training will resume this Saturday for U8’s and U10’s in the Ragg at 10.30am.

Club Notes - 17th May 2005
Our Senior Game with J.K Brackens had been postponed due to the Tipperary – Limerick Replay

This Sunday will see the re-fixture off the Junior A Hurling League V Boherlahan Dualla which is fixed for the Ragg 11.30am

Our Junior B’s lost by the narrowest of margin to Moycarkey-Borris 0-13 to 12points which ends any chance we had of retaining our League Title.

In the Minor A football semi-final we lost by 4 points Thurles Sarsfields 0-12 Drom Inch 1-05 which ends our run in the football.

The U16 footballers were well by defeated by Thurles Sarsfields last Monday night.

The U14 footballers drew with Gortnahoe last week and now must play Clonakenny to play in remaining match in a couple of weeks time, please check fixtures.

U12 Mid final takes place this Thursday evening in Boherlahan at 7pm where we take on Moycarkey.the club ask that parents and club members come and support the team. The Juvenile club would like to thank Toomevara for return challenge match for U8 and U10’s last Saturday. Training as normal this Saturday for all U-10 and U-8’s.
