| Senior Training: Senior Training continues Tuesday and Friday in the Ragg. It is hoped that there will be a challenge game over the weekend so it is important all players have paid their membership. Monthly Committee Meeting: Monthly committee meeting takes place on Wednesday night in Inch dressing rooms at 8.00pm. It is very important that ALL committee members attend this meeting as we will be discussing the development & setting up of our club lotto. Anybody who is interested in helping out with this venture, please attend the meeting and voice your opinion/thoughts. Intermediate Football: The second game of the intermediate league took place on Sunday morning last in Cahir against Cahir. Despite playing against the wind in the first half we went in leading at the half time break thanks to a John Lillis goal. Further points in the second half ensured that we emerged winners on a score line of 1-12 to 0-7. It was a good team performance. Next round is scheduled for Sunday in the Ragg with St Patrick’s Drangan providing the opposition. Under 21 football: Our Under 21 footballers were defeated by Moyne Templetuohy in the mid semi final on Saturday last in Templemore by 4-12 to 0-11. The team could not be faulted for their efforts and their attention now turns to the hurling championship which is due to commence within the next fortnight. Training continues with the senior and intermediates. Membership: Membership is now due for all player and non-players. Therese Fahey and Brian Costello are available to take membership. Players €50, Student Players €30, Non-Players €30, OAP €20, Juveniles €10. Speedy Recovery The club would like to wish a speedy recovery to Dessie Hennessey and John Kennedy (Drom) after their recent operations. We look forward to seen them both back at the matches in the near future. Juvenile News Under 8 and 10 training this Saturday at 10am in the ragg hurling field Well done to Paul Kennedy, Brendan Larkin, Kevin Ahearn, Tomas O'Meara on making the mid u-14 Football panel for the coming year. Congrats to Aidan O Meara (Barnane N.S) on receiving a presentation from his club mate and Tipperary hurler James Woodlock at half time in the Tipperary v Kilkenny game for his success in the VHI Cul Camps Skills competition. Hopefully it will not be too long before Aidan graces the Semple Stadium pitch again!!! The juvenile club would like to thank everybody who made our card game a great success and a very enjoyable night. |

| Juvenile Club Progressive 25 Progressive 25 Drive in aid of Drom-Inch Juvenile Club will be held in Drom Hall on Wednesday (Tonight) 3rd March 2010 at 8:30pm. There will be €1,000 in prizes. Tickets/Entry €10 each. Your support would be greatly appreciated on the night as this is one of the juvenile club’s main sources of income for the year and is vital to ensure the smooth running of the club. We have been drawn in a group with Thurles Sarsfields, Nenagh Eire Og, Borrisoleigh, Toomevara, Clonoulty, Holycross and Upperchurch in the county senior hurling league with the top 4 teams contesting the semi finals. Intermediate Football: The first round of the county Intermediate league took place on Sunday last in the Ragg against Ballingarry. After playing against the wind in the first half the game was evenly poised with us leading 0-4 to 0-2. We upped our game a notch in the second half and scored 3 well worked goals to run out winners on a score line of 3-8 to 0-3. It was great to see a strong turnout again and it is hoped this continues for all future games. The next round takes place on Sunday away to Cahir at 11.30am. Under 21 football: The Under 21’s will play their Mid semi final against Moyne Templetuohy in Templemore on Saturday at 4.30pm. Your support would be greatly appreciated. They suffered a narrow defeat at the hands of Clonakenny 2-4 to 1-11. On Sunday morning they overcame Boherlahan in the Ragg with a good performance with the score 7-11 to 0-3. | Adjourned AGM: The Adjourned AGM took place on Saturday night in front of a good attendance. Positions of managers and outstanding club officers were filled. Martin Fahey was elected as Co. Board Rep while Teddy Kennedy, Fr. Murphy and Larry Doherty were confirmed as Vice Chairpersons. The following management teams were confirmed: Senior Management: Pat Looby, Seamus Fahey, Eamon Long and Liam McLoughlin Intermediate Management: Lorcan Looby, John Gleeson and Michael Shanahan. Roinn F Football final The club would like to express their commiserations to Barnane N.S. who were narrowly defeated in the Cumann na Mbunscoil Roinn F football final by Rathkeevin NS on Wednesday last in Pairc na nOg. The final score was Rathkeevin NS 1-7 Barnane NS 2-2. Each player gave it their all on the day and cannot be faulted for their effort. | Seniors: The last round of the senior championship group stages will take place on Saturday 6th June against Holycross in Boherlahan. Training continues at stated times. Intermediate: Drom/Inch played Moyle Rovers in the league quarter final on Friday night last on a scoreline of 7.15 to 3.08. Drom now progress to the league semi final. Intermediate championship starts on Sunday 7th June against Gortnahoe in Littleton. Membership: Membership is now due for all player and non-players. Souvenir Booklet: There was a souvenir booklet produced for the la na gclub celebrations and there are some copies still available. The booklet is 20 pages in total and contains pictures, history of the club and interviews, juvenile history etc. Anyone who missed out can contact Eddie Kinnane on 0876407736. Some booklets have already been sent to the club members who work and live in Australia, America and Canada. Liam Young Plant Sales sponsored u-12 B mid football final The u-12b mid football final was played in Ballycahill on Tuesday last. Loughmore and Drom served up a game of commitment and skill but on the night Loughmore had to give way to an in form Drom side. Drom centre forward Michael Connors opened the scoring for Drom with a goal in the second minute followed by a goal by Droms Stevie Nolan in the sixth minute. Drom continued to dominate the first half with points from Thomas Nolan, Michael Connors and Padraig Campion. The first half ended with a goal by Stevie Nolan. Loughmores Diarmuid Meagher scored a point for Loughmore in the 15th minute to leave the score at half time Drom 3-3 Loughmore -1.Drom continued to dominate the second with three points from Thomas Nolan and Stevie Nolan scoring his third goal of the night.The final scoreline didn’t reflect the competitive nature of the game but Drom got the scores on the board which is what matters. The juvenile club has never won a county football at underage level and the win against Loughmore was only the clubs 6th mid title having won titles previously in 1990(B), 1991(B), 1992, 1998 (C) and 1999 (C). | Seniors: Drom/Inch got their senior campaign back on track thanks to a victory over Moycarkey in Boherlahan on a scoreline of 3.15 to 0.07. Drom play their final game of the group stages against Holycross, this will be played sometime in June. Intermediate: Drom/Inch play Moyle Rovers in the league quarter final on Saturday 23rd May in Holycross at 7.30pm. Membership: Membership is now due for all player and non-players. Pat Egan, Jimmy Darcy and Pakie Boyle are available to take membership. Players €50, Non-Players €30, OAP €20, Juveniles €10 La na gClub Celebrations: On Sunday last the GAA club held its La na gClub Celebrations in Inch field as part of a family fun day. The day got underway with mass in Inch church, which was followed by a march from Younges car park to the field behind a pipe band. Thanks to the fine weather there was a huge turn out and parents and children of all ages were treated to a full day of fun activities. The highlight of the day was the match between the former greats of the club with Austin Broderick doing MC for the match. The senior and juvenile club would like to thank all those that helped organize the day and to Donal Younge for providing food and refreshments for the people on the day. There was a souvenir programme produced and there are some copies still available, anyone who missed out can contact Eddie Kinnane on 0876407736. U16 Football. The U16 footballers were defeated in the mid final on Monday night last after a thrilling encounter with Gortnahoe on a scoreline of 1.05 to 0.07. The Juvenile club would like to thank the players for their efforts in the football championship where no player can be faulted for their commitment. | Seniors: Drom play the first round of the mid championship against Loughmore on Sunday 26th April in Templemore at 7pm. Your support would be appreciated. Intermediate: The intermediates had a narrow win against Cahir on Tuesday night last in the Ragg when they won on a scoreline of 1.11 to 2.05. This now puts us in strong contention of a knockout stage, the last match is a must win game against Aherlow in Lisvernane next Tuesday night.
